The larger newer model has an endurance proposition worth checking, but the actual state of a used 15 Pro Max can dominate the difference. A service assessment gives current owners another option.

Apple’s US specifications list up to 33 hours of video playback for iPhone 16 Pro Max and 29 for iPhone 15 Pro Max. These are manufacturer test maxima for the models, not measurements of a used unit or promises for navigation, recording or weak-signal use.

Software & Features

Both support Apple’s AI hardware requirements, with regional and feature limits. Confirm that a desired software tool is genuinely hardware-dependent before paying for a new phone to obtain it.
